Hospitality Project Spotlight: The Collegiate Hotel

Get ready for game day in style!

With the kickoff of football season it seems appropriate to shine a spotlight on one of our recent hospitality projects in a small college town. We’re going deep into War Eagle country to Auburn, Alabama to visit The Collegiate Hotel.

We partnered with this property to create a luxury boutique hotel in a renovated historic dormitory. Custom case goods, lighting, benches, and vanities bring a modern, sophisticated vibe to both the suites and the common areas. We used a mix of in stock products and pieces tailored specifically to the site. For example, we extended the marble top of our popular FULTON G vanity to allow for more room and subtly used side tables and sofas in shades of blue and orange to echo the school’s colors.

The response has been overwhelming! Locals have been visiting the bar at Wittel, the namesake of the original dorm, and travelers have been pleased with their stays away from home. If you are in the area, please consider going for a tour. Make sure to visit the rooftop bar with sweeping views of the skyline. Other amenities include the Boardroom meeting space for up to 16 people and the large porch off the lobby bar. This is certainly a unique place for weddings or other events, and not just a place to leave your luggage when in town. Worlds Away was so glad to be a part of the project, and hopes there will be more similar properties in the future.
